When you search for options to purchase SSL certificate, you will find that many companies sell SSL certificates. but it will be better to get SSL certificate from a larger and trusted brand.

2. Level of Encryption

There are many levels of encryption. you should at least 128-bit SSL certificate to accept Credit / Debit cards.

3. Dedicated SSL and Shared SSL certificate

  • Dedicated SSL completely owned by the user and you have to pay for it.

  • Shared SSL certificates are usually free, right for blogs sharing content, but not recommended for e-commerce sites.


You do not get support in Shared SSL certificate implementation, but you also get support in Dedicated SSL security certification.

When you use a shared IP keep one thing in mind:

  • The certificate mismatch error is normal.

  • SNI is not very compatible with older web browsers.
