How to Make Post Sticky on WordPress without Plugin

Do you want to make your old post or a new post as a sticky post or featured post? When you make sticky posts, then WordPress show sticky posts first instead of new posts. In this tutorial, we are going to share how to make a post sticky on WordPress.

However, WordPress allows you to create a sticky post/featured post by default. So here we will not use any kind of plugin, we will make sticky posts by WordPress default setting.

How to Make Post Sticky on WordPress

First, log in to your WordPress site and click on Edit button of the post, which you want to make a sticky post.



Here, you will see the Visibility: Public option in the right-hand sidebar. You need to click on the Edit button.



After clicking on Edit button, check the box Stick this post to the front page and click on OK then hit on Publish Button.



Now, this sticky post will appear above all new posts.

If you want to make an old post as a featured post or WordPress sticky post, follow this same process and click on Update button.
