How to Configure SEO Smart Links for Internal Links
SEO smart links is a great WordPress plugin that automatically create inter-linking for your post, page, custom post etc and improves search engine ranking and your website SEO. This plugin is available in both versions - Free and Premium.
As I said earlier, it's great for creating internal links on your site or blog. The reason, suppose you wrote a good post and want to link to a very old post, in which most bloggers forget, but this plugin automatically creates inter-linking. If you know about SEO, then you understand the value of internal links very well.
Another good thing about this plugin, you can also handle affiliate links through this.
First, install and activate this SEO Smart Links plugin on your site. It has been developed by Vladimir Prelovac. After activating the plugin, it will add a new menu item "SEO Smart Links" to your WordPress dashboard.
Just click on SEO Smart Links, this will take you to the settings page of the plugin. Here you will see some settings that you will need to setup.
SEO Smart Links can automatically link keywords and phrases in your posts and comments with corresponding posts, pages, categories and tags on your blog. It is the biggest feature of this plugin. As you can see in the screenshot.
After this, go to "Misc. Options" section and configure it according to the given screenshot. Through this configuration you can also create auto-internal linking in RSS feeds of your blog, which will help to get more views on your old post.
You can use this option to reduce your site's bounce rate. Using this plugin, you can open all the external links to your blog in a new tab. Further SEO Smart links allow you to set nofollow attribute for all linked domains. However, I do not recommend to do this.
Go to the section of the Custom keyword option and Configure this SEO smart links settings according to the screenshot. After this, hit on "Save Option" to store your setting.
According to me, this plugin is great for creating automatic internal links on your blog. This reduces your site's bounce rate and also enhances user experience and website SEO.
