How to Get Category ID in WordPress Step by Step Guide

Recently one of our users asked how to find a WordPress Category ID?





Post ID, category ID, or tag ID is a unique number that uses to identifies particular item in your WordPress database.





When you configure a new WordPress theme, plugin, widget or any PHP script, you may need WordPress Category ID. In this tutorial, I'm going to share how to get Category ID in WordPress site..

How to Get WordPress Category ID





Getting a Category ID is not a challenging task. You can easily get it.





First, log in to your WordPress site and click on post >> Categories.





Then click on that category you want to get the ID. After clicking, you can see the URL of your category. In this, you will see a number which is your category id. As you can see screenshot below,

In the above screenshot, WordPress category id is 48. Now copy your Category ID and use it anywhere as you need.
