How to find and Delete unused files in WordPress site

If your WordPress site is old, There are some images in your WP media library which will not attach to any post or page or later those unused images are not required. Then you should remove those WordPress unattached images from your site.
When you cleanup image from your WordPress image library, the size of your site database also decreases, which also helps to improve your WordPress load time and Site performance.
So let's start the article to delete all unused files from your site......
To clean WordPress unused images first log in to your WordPress admin. Then click on "Media >> Library" option.
Now all the images of your site will appear. Now you have to click on "All media items" option in the top and select the "Unattached" option from the drop-down menu. Then click on the "Filter" button. As you can see in the screenshot below,
When you click on the Filter button, the list of all unused image files (which is not attached to any post or page) will appear.
You are free to delete unattached media from your WordPress site.
To delete Image, move your mouse pointer to the image you want to delete, then click on "Delete Permanently".
If you want to delete multiple unattached images from the WordPress media library, then check the box that appears before File option.
Then click on Bulk Actions and select "Delete Permanently" from the drop-down option and then click on "Apply" button.
Note: Before cleaning WordPress unused images, make sure to back up your WordPress site. If something goes wrong with your WordPress media, you can easily restore them.
