When we update the WordPress plugin and our site breaks due to new updates, we need to install old version plugin (previous versions) again. Here I have shared two best and easy ways that will help you rollback to older version.





#1. Download Older Versions of WordPress Plugin From the WordPress.org





First, go to WordPress.org site and navigate to plugin tab. Here search for WordPress plugin that you want to downgrade.

After getting results, click on the plugin then scroll down. In bottom section, you will see Advanced View link. Just click on it. You can see in the screenshot below,

Your web page will reload again, scroll down the page and click on Development version. Select the version of the plugin from the drop-down menu.





Now click on Download button, your plugin will start downloading.

#2. Revert to Older Version Using WP Rollback Plugin





First, install and activate WP Rollback Plugin on your site. The plugin rollbacks any theme and plugin to previous (or newer) version but your plugin and theme should be from WordPress.org (3rd-party plugins are not supported).





Once activated, it automatically adds Rollback option next to every plugin.

When you click on the rollback link, a new page will open with all the previous versions. As you can see below,

Here select plugin version that you want to rollback then hit on Rollback. It will prompt final confirmation. Again click on Rollback.
