How to Import External Images in WordPress Site


You have migrated your blog to WordPress from another blogging platform and you want to import your external image (first blogging platform's images) into WordPress Media Library? In this article, i'm going to share how to Import External Images in WordPress Site.





By default, WordPress does not provide the feature to import the external image into WordPress Media Library. For this, we will need a plugin called import external images plugin.





How to Import External Images in WordPress Site





First, install and activate import external images plugin on your site.





After activating the plugin, click on Media >> import images. Now a new page will open in front of you. You will need to click on the "import images Now" button. As you can see in the screenshot below,

Your WordPress site will start importing images and this process will depend on the number of your external images.





Import External Images plugin can import 50 images at a time. If there is a memory exhausted error while importing images, then you have to increase your PHP memory limit. To continue, click on the "Import Image Now" button again.
